Environmental Microbiology and Virology. Dr. Nagendra Thakur research interest is in
understanding the biology of microorganisms from extreme environments. It includes the
characterization of thermophiles and psychrophiles obtained from hot springs and glaciers of
Sikkim using culture dependent and culture independent techniques.
